What the app does

Bionic Tape is a music player in the style of a cassette player. It shows your playlists and albums from connected music services and your own music files as cassettes and controls their playback. The app does not provide any music itself, apart from built-in demo tapes without music.

Purchase

The app is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Purchase, payment and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective terms; please request refunds there. A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices within the limits of the store terms. Future updates are provided free of charge, without any entitlement to specific features.

Third-party music services

To play music from YouTube Music, Apple Music or other services, you need an account – and, depending on the service, a subscription (for example YouTube Music Premium for background playback, or an Apple Music subscription). The terms of the respective provider apply. Playback runs through the provider's official app or system player. We have no influence on the availability, content or prices of these services.

The app uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube Music you agree to theYouTube Terms of Service; theGoogle Privacy Policy applies. Bionic Tape is not affiliated with Sony, Samsung, Apple, Google, YouTube or Spotify.

Your own music

You may only use music files that you are entitled to use. The files stay on your device.

Privacy

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy. In short: no account with us, no ads, no tracking.

Liability

We develop the app with care but cannot guarantee that it is free of errors or always available, in particular when third-party services change. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date at the top applies.

Applicable law

Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Zurich, unless mandatory law provides otherwise (for example for consumers in their country of residence).
